Job Description

Job Title: LMS AdministratorJob ID: 19425Location: Remote/Home BasedJob Type: ContractLength: 3-6 monthsSalary: £200-300 per dayIndustry: EducationA fast-growing leading provider of accountancy training and apprenticeships are looking to bring in an LMS Administrator to help them implement their new LMS system throughout the business.We are looking for an experienced but enthusiastic Learning Technologist ready to take on a new challenge. You will join a new centre in Birmingham as part of a small but growing team with responsibilities of:

  • Support and manage the ongoing transition to a new learning environment
  • Support and administer the creation of courses and management of digital learning assets on our learning platform and associated platforms
  • Provide support and training to staff
  • Creation and management of the development plan for our learning platforms in 2020 and beyond
  • Responsibilities:Platform transition: They are currently in the process of transitioning to a new learning platform that allows significant improvements to both students and staff. We are looking for an LMS manager to help with the management and leadership of the remaining elements of transition. This may include, but not be limited to:
  • Building courses and transferring content
  • Creating training and communications for internal and external users
  • Management and training of those working on the transition
  • Course creation and management: On an ongoing basis, we would expect the LMS manager to lead the process of ensuring our courses are built and ready for use in line with our students and clients expectations. This may include, but not be limited to:
  • Working with publishing and tutor team to coordinate course build
  • Helping with the course build process
  • User management within the platform (including the use of audiences and groups)
  • User experience improvement: We are keen for the LMS manager to be a central part of the team. We want you to work closely with the educational experts and proactively suggest (and lead on the implementation of) ways to improve the student experience via the learning platform.Skills & ExperienceEssential:
  • Experience of working on a Moodle-based platform - ideally 3+ years
  • Experience of working in cross-functional teams with a variety of commercial and educational staff
  • Excellent communication (both written and verbal), negotiation and relationship-building skills
  • A passion for creating great user experiences via an online learning platform
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • A positive and solution focused attitude to work
  • Ability to use initiative and proactively manage workloads
  • An analytical and inquisitive mind determined to provide timely and accurate information to key stakeholders
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing workloads
  • Highly numerate and analytical
  • An ability to use excel (or equivalent) to produce meaningful reports for differing levels of stakeholders
  • Desirable:
  • Experience in the commercial education industry.
  • An understanding of professional qualification training in a professional service environment
