Job Description

Join us as a Liquidity Stress Testing Manager

  • Take on a new career challenge in a team that supports analysis and controls and helps with the delivery of liquidity, intraday liquidity, funding management and stress testing
  • Day-to-day, youll be working on the strategy for our group across all legal entities and within all geographic jurisdictions to support required stress testing
  • Youll be joining a team that covers a range of liquidity and funding risk-related areas, so youll have the opportunity to learn from an experienced group of subject matter experts
What youll doIn this role, youll support the production of our internal liquidity adequacy assessment processes, which is our key liquidity document detailing to the board and the Prudential Regulations Authority our liquidity risks and management processes. As well as this, youll focus on the implementation and maintenance of stress testing assumptions and scenario results, while working closely with senior team members, the wider Balance Sheet Management team and our central finance functions. Youll also be responsible for:
  • Maintaining and monitoring an effective risk management and controls framework to maintain our safety and soundness agenda
  • Delivering regular stress scenarios to assess our groups liquidity risk
  • Understanding and advising on regulatory development, industry normalcies and peer positions and driving best practices in global liquidity management
  • Providing support to our business on business liquidity risks and liquidity risk management
The skills youll needTo be successful in this role, youll need to have treasury or banking experience, alongside risk management and general banking product knowledge. Well also need you to have an understanding of good risk management. In addition, youll have good banking regulations knowledge, including of balance sheet frameworks, Basel 3 and local regulations, and an understanding of how to analyse funding cash flows, liquidity profiles and currency positions. Furthermore, youll need:
  • To be motivated to make change happen
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • An awareness of the Bank of England and European Banking Authority regulations
  • Experience of managing funding cash flows, liquidity profiles and currency positions across a large global footprint
  • Good communication skills and experience of managing relationships across a wide range of stakeholders
