For furtherinformation about Nomura, visit www.nomura.comDepartment overview:The Credit Risk Engines IT team develops and maintains Nomuras official system for generating counterparty credit risk measures (PRISM OTC). The system uses a Monte Carlo pricing library written in C++ to generate forward market-to-market valuations onthe banks OTC trade population, the results of which are then aggregated to netting-set level (usually CSA) and used to compute various risk measures. These are used for limit management or fed to finance for the calculation of regulatory capital.Job overview:Were looking for a well versed Linux Developer to join our Credit Risk IT Team. Currently a team of 4 based in London as a part of a global Credit Risk Development Group, which has team members globally.The candidate will work on the coordination between the components that make up the PRISM OTC system, the distribution of calculation tasks on AWS, and how the results of these feed into the aggregation calculations via S3 storage. They will need to coordinateand assist in the complete rewrite of the C++ pricing library to support a gRPC-based interface defined using protobuf messages. We expect a collaborative team-focused approach to development, with adherence to best practice and rigorous approach to testing.Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge:Essential:

  • Strong mathematical or computer science degree, preferably to post-graduate level
  • Keen programmer
  • Experience in using unix-based operating systems
  • CI/CD, Git, Agile Development
Desired:
  • Experience with compiled languages (C, C++, golang, rust)
  • Scripting experience (Python, perl or bash)
  • Experience with Google Protocol Buffers
  • Containerization (docker, podman, kubernetes)
  • Linux Systems administration
  • AWS Experience (CloudFormation or Terraform, use of EC2/S3, AWS Batch)
