Job Description

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. **Luminate Education Group consists of; Harrogate College (HC), Keighley College(KC), Leeds City College (LCC), Leeds Conservatoire (LC) and White Rose Academies Trust (WRAT). Luminate Education Group is one of the fastest improving and most innovative education groups in the country. This is a Fixed Term post for 24 monthsWHAT WE DOThe Media, Music and Performance Production (MMaPP) department has a comprehensive offer consisting of 15 study programmes, three at level 1, six at level 2 and eight at level 3, the latter having both year 1 and year 2 cohorts. The level 3 cohorts are dividedinto specialisms: Theatre Design and Production, Musical Theatre, Acting, Dance, Music Performance, Music Production, TV & Film Production and Journalism. All of these programmes are fed by level 1 and level 2 provision. In addition we run a small NEET provisionin partnership with Leeds Playhouse and provide vocation sessions for the 14-16 Academy in Media and Performing Arts. Finally we have a new Access to the Creative Industries programme which attracted a single cohort in its first year.The majority of learnersare on study programmes (92.8%). We have significant numbers of learners from areas of high deprivation across the city and region. The remaining learners are split between Adults embedded in Study programme cohorts (3.9%), Access students (2.3%) and apprenticesin the Technical Theatre sector (0.4%). All of the qualifications studied in these study programmes, apart from Access, are Pearsons Edexcel BTECs.The provision is all at the MMaPP campus although external facilities are used at Dance Studio Leeds, FirstFloor, Yorkshire Dance Centre, Northern Ballet Theatre and others. There are internal progression routes to H.E. in Dance, Media and Performance Practice. Progression through the department is excellent as is progression onto Higher Education.
