SENIOR COUNSELTV SALES AND DISTRIBUTIONPREMIUM ENTERTAINMENT COMPANYLONDONOur client is a global producer and distributor of award winning film and TV content.We are seeking an experienced lawyer to support the International TV Sales team with a particular focus on rights out (sales).THE ROLE* Negotiation, structuring, drafting and review of agreements related to the sale and licensing of rights in scripted and non scripted television programmes to broadcasters and streamers internationally, and all related legal documentation required by the internationalTV sales business within agreed timescales* To assist, as and when required, with the drafting and review of rights in (acquisitions) agreements* Provide day-to-day support and guidance for the International TV sales team generally in relation to specific deals as the business expands* Providing advice on underlying rights, copyright and other intellectual property issues, compliance and regulatory matters as required* Assisting with development and maintenance of templates and industry and legal developmentsYou will be a qualified lawyer with extensive experience working in a television sales or distribution business legal affairs department. A detailed knowledge of contract and commercial law understanding of IP (copyright) and competition law will be useful.Any media sector experience gained in a media focused practice or in-house, and at a broadcaster, producer or major studio is desirable.You will have expertise in international television distribution and licensing agreements in the areas of scripted and non-scripted TV series, documentary and digital media.In return, you will have the opportunity to work with great colleagues and for a dynamic and exciting business at the forefront of the media industry.
