About this role: The Legal Department provides advice to Wells Fargos management, business units and support functions on a wide range of issues including regulatory matters, transactions and corporate law issues with lawyers located in Wells Fargos offices globally. It supportsthe vision and values of Wells Fargo by providing expert, creative, cost-effective, and timely advice and services to all Wells Fargo businesses and support functions. As part of its support for Wells Fargos business in EMEA, the Lending Team in the EMEA Legal Department actively supports the EMEA lending businesses based in London and Western Europe, including Capital Finance, Corporate and Middle Market Banking, FIG, SubscriptionFinance and Commercial Real Estate Finance. In addition, it provides support to the EMEA Treasury Management and Payment Services businesses based in London. The candidate will work closely with the senior lending lawyers in the team, as well as external counsel in reviewing and negotiating transaction documentation, including having responsibility for the review of confidentiality agreements and legal opinions.As part of this role, they will interact with a wide variety of stakeholders across the businesses supported by the team. This candidate will work as part of the Lending Team in the EMEA Legal Department, and collaborate closely with other legal colleagues in with the wider EMEA Legal Team, as well as lawyers and business stakeholders in the United States and internationally. In addition to these functions, all EMEA lawyers are required to carry out such other duties as may from time to time be reasonably required as part of the wider activities of the EMEA Legal Team.
