Job Description

Our client is a well-established financial development institution in the public sector with a substantial employee base searching for a new Legal Counsel. You would be based in their London office operating as a funds lawyer focussed upon direct & co-investments.Client DetailsOur client is a well-established financial development institution in the public sector with a substantial employee base. Based in London and operating on a hybrid basis, this entity has a significant national influence shaping policies and strategies thatimpact numerous industries and sectors across the UK.DescriptionYour key responsibilities include:

  • Providing legal support to a number of product areas specialising in equity investments, focusing primarily (but not exclusively) on direct investments and co-investments
  • Providing support to product areas specialising in funds investments
  • Facilitating the execution of investment transactions, from early engagement in the due diligence phase through to completion
  • Providing corporate advice in an in-house Financial Services context
  • Contributing to standardisation of transaction documentation and processes, know-how and training
  • Managing external counsel
ProfileA successful candidate should have:
  • A legal qualification within England & Wales with at least 4 - 8 years post qualification experience
  • The ability to commute into the office on a hybrid basis
  • A comprehensive understanding of funds law.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical ability and attention to detail
