Job Description

To provide legal services, advice, and assistance as required to the regulated Irish and UK entities in respect of asset management and more generally in regard to any legal matter. The role:

  • You will act as point of contact in the Legal team for Irish, UK, and EU regulatory projects and ongoing regulatory impact on the business.
  • Regulatory watch (in particular those regulations and laws impacting the Asset Management industry including EU regulations and directives including UCITS, MiFID, EMIR etc.).
  • Active business partner for set up and launch of Irish funds
  • Drafting and reviewing fund documents (including Instrument of Incorporation, Trust Deed, Prospectus and Application Forms etc.) and liaising with external counsel for review of same.
  • Drafting and negotiating agreements such as:
    • distribution agreements, platform agreements and marketing related documents
    • agreements with software and technology providers
    • depositary agreements
    • investment advisory agreements and investment management agreements, broker terms and other investment related documents
    • commercial agreements with suppliers
  • Assist and advise the group linked business and their cross-border activities
  • Assist legal and compliance directors on new business ventures and strategic projects, participate in various working groups, steering groups, forums, and committees.
Your Profile
  • 3/4 years experience as an investment management
  • Excellent knowledge of investment management/funds law and regulation.
  • Excellent knowledge of commercial contracts, distribution and market related legal documentation and supplier agreements.
  • Qualified lawyer in Ireland and/or England and Wales
