Reporting into a Senior Lawyer the Legal & Business Affairs Assistant will be a key member of the Legal & Business Affairs Content team providing broad rights, legal and business affairs advice and support to the business in the acquisition and commission of content for the company.Client DetailsMy client is a multi-award winning global media company.DescriptionThis will suit existing paralegals or legal and business affairs assistants who have:A genuine interest in and enthusiasm for TV and media lawGood practical understanding and commercial awareness of acquisitions and commissioning content in a broadcasting and media industry.Knowledge and understanding of :- collective music licences, archive, talent and other contributor agreements- programme development and/or commissioning agreements- programme acquisition or other licensing workStrong IT skills, with experience of rights and contracts database work & legal research tools.Good legal drafting skills with the potential to take on more complex tasks, with trainingProfileThe successful candidate will have worked in a media team in a law firm or a in-house as part of a legal and business affairs assistant.They will have had exposure to talent and contributor agreements, collective music licences and drafted contracts previously.LLB or GDL conversion requiredLPC desiredJob OfferPermanent role£32-£35k salary dependent on experience.PLEASE NOTE: Due to the volume of applications only those who have the relevant experience will be shortlisted and contacted.
