An opportunity has arisen for a Lecturer in Sport and Outdoor Adventurous Activities to join our well established team based at the Oval Campus. The post holder will assist in the development, organisation and management of high quality teaching, learning and assessment in this area.The successful applicant will hold a degree or equivalent in sport and have a full understanding of all aspects of sports coaching and outdoor adventurous activities underpinned by relevant industrial experience. you will have a full understanding of all aspects of BTEC and vocational qualifications. A teaching qualification or being fully committed to work towards gaining a relevant teaching qualification is essential. Successful applicants who do not currently hold a full teaching qualification will have the opportunity to undertake this at no cost to themselves via either the Taking Teaching Further Scheme, details of which can be found on our Work For Us page, or by undertaking training via an apprenticeship standard. You will be given time off the job to complete your studies and be supported by an experienced teacher who will act as a mentor. You will posses an assessor qualification or will be prepared to undertake and gain within 6 months of appointment. The post will involve working 17.5 hours per week and will be based at our Oval Campus in Bebington, Wirral.
