LECTURER IN SPORT(Full time, 36 hours per week, through the year) Starting 16th August 2021We are seeking to appoint full time Lecturer in Sports to teach a range of subjects associated with Sports Studies, including Level 1 and Level 3 BTEC programmes, NCFE level 2, 1st 4 Sport and NVQ fitness awards.You will have recent experience of teaching Sport across Levels 1-3, including BTEC programmes in a school, FE college or adult learning institution is essential. You will have good communication and interpersonal skills and be able to engage young vocational learners aged 16-18.You will need to possess a degree in Sport or a related subject area and an assessor award as well as a full teaching qualification or be completing a PGCE/Cert Ed/DTLLS this academic year.The post will be positioned off site at Rayners Lane, Middlesex.You must be enthusiastic and highly motivated, have a flexible approach to work and be able to work as a member of the team.Salary Scale: Band H - I, points 25 - 31, £29,135 - £34,576 per annumApplication form and further details of the post available from theStanmore College website: www.stanmore.ac.uk or by telephone on .Closing date for application is Wednesday, 9th June 2021Interviews will take place on Tuesday, 29th June 2021Job Summary: To teach on a range of Sports courses at level 1 through to level 3Main DutiesManaging the learning activities of students according to their educational needs. Teaching effectively and efficiently on a range of sports courses. Assessing, recording and reporting on the development, progress and attainment of students. Developing, monitoring and evaluating curriculum provision and learning strategies. Preparing assessment and learning materials. Acting as a tutor as required and providing guidance and support for students within the framework of a college tutorial and pastoral care system. Participating in the interviewing, admission, enrolment and induction of students. Marketing of new and existing provision.Maintaining discipline among students and safeguarding their health and safety both on College premises and when they are engaged in authorised activities elsewhere. Participating in the College appraisal scheme and arrangements made for further training and professional development.12. Taking responsibility for health and safety, equal opportunities and data protection within the scope of the post.13. Performing administrative and organisational tasks related to the work of the College, including participation in meetings arranged for any of the purposes described above.14.
