Fundamental to the College’s forward-thinking strategy is support for the environment and food supply in Greater London and the southeastWe are seeking to appointan experienced Lecturer in HorticultureThe successful candidate will be delivering and assessing to the appropriate examination body standards across Levels 1 to 3 a range of subjects related to Horticulture, including but not limited to Amenity Horticulture, Plant Science, Propagation, Soil Science, Machinery, Landscaping and Ecology, and Garden Design.The ideal candidate will deliver to our full-time students at Levels 1, 2 and 3 and to adults on part-time Level 1 and 2 programmes.They will take responsibility for learner progress monitoring & tracking, Individual Learning Plans and holding regular tutorials and provide specialist advice and guidance relating to horticulture activities and developments.Support curriculum planning, development and support within the School is required as is the research and produce course materials to meet the needs of all learners.They will liaise with horticulture practical instructors, technicians and internal staff with regard to the provision of practical learner activities and ensure that all requirements and regulations relating to health and safety are adhered to at all times.What’s in it for youWe offer the opportunity to help develop your skills and knowledge in a friendly team environment, plus a range of benefits including a career average pension scheme (LGPS), employee assistance programme and full access to Capel Gardens.Equality, diversity and inclusionWe are committed to creating and promoting a diverse and inclusive workforce that better reflects the wider community we support.
