0.4 FTE Lecturer in Design for Theatre, Film and TelevisionBased at our West Durrington, Worthing campus14.8 hours per week - 0.4FTE. We are looking for an experienced Design Lecturer to lead the Level 3 Diploma & Extended Diploma Design for Theatre, Filmand Television.Based within the exciting and vibrant creative industries department, this highly practical course covers a broad range of design skills, from set, scenery and props to costume and makeup, including both historical and modern contexts. Studentscollaborate across the department working on short films, exhibitions and public shows in our professional theatre. You will be part of an experienced team of tutors responsible for delivering this pathway of this exciting Theatre Arts Production programme.We are looking for a tutor with skills to cover primarily set, scenery and props but with the adaptability to oversee all aspects.***We are seeking to appoint an experienced Design Lecturer to deliver an exceptional student experience through the deliveryof outstanding teaching, learning and assessment leading to positive achievement outcomes and progression on to higher levels of study, employment, or apprenticeships. Also to undertake responsibilities for assisting in the Design provision course management,being responsible for the application of awarding/validating body regulations and procedures and upholding academic standards.You will also be responsible for managing all aspects of the student journey, including student recruitment, tutorial and pastoralsupport, course induction, curriculum planning, teaching, learning and assessment, feedback to students, monitoring of student progress, management of student records, student achievement, and all associated course and quality related administration.You willrequire an academic qualification at Level 5 / Level 6, or professional qualification equivalent in a relevant subject area and a recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to gain one). You also require experience of working within a Design environmentand knowledge of curriculum planning and development to meet the learning needs of all students within a possibly diverse cohort. Good written and verbal communication skills and good IT skills are also essential.Interviews will be held on 19th August 2021.
