They will mentor them and support them where necessary. The LSA - Bulgarian Translator is responsible to the Head of Learning Support for providing high-quality administrative support.Some of the main roles and responsibilitiesfor this position are: To enable equality of access to information and education, to meet the needs of learners. To empower the learner by the translators use of a range of appropriate strategies of support, encouraging the development of the individual learnerwithin educational, social, linguistic and cultural contexts. To consider the needs of the learner within the context of their peer group, and to provide appropriate communication strategies, from a range of skills, helping to facilitate the successful integrationof the group. To provide access to a range of learning materials using appropriate communication methods to match the needs of the individual learner. To respond to all communication requirements that may arise in the learning environment and with AssistiveTechnologies, and to implement, review and adapt strategies as necessary.The role requires an individual who has well developed organisational, communication and team working skills. They must also be able to meet targets and deadlines. The role is for 23.5hours per week, 36 weeks per year based at Tangier Road.
