Job Description

Learning Support Assistant + Additional training (Permanent contract) A friendly, modern Secondary school located in the borough of Ealing is seeking an innovative, dedicated, and resilient Learning Support Assistant to join their team. This is a full-time, long-term position, commencing September 2022. The ideal candidate for the LSA role would be graduates with a keen interest in Mental Health, Therapy, Psychological Research, Education, Speech and Language, Special Needs and many more!Why is this Learning Support Assistant position ideal for a recent graduate

  • Gain a full years experience in a Secondary school supporting children with SEN
  • Working alongside professionals such as Speech and Language therapists and SENCo.
  • Regular training alongside class teachers + additional support/ training for SEN

Learning Support Assistant- Job Description
  • Supporting students with a range of SEN (SEMH, autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia etc)
  • Using initiative to create new learning opportunities
  • Working across KS3/KS4/KS5
  • Working in small groups/ 1:1 setting to motivate pupil and make their learning exciting and accessible!
  • Liaise with classroom teacher and SENCo to ensure pupil progress
  • Located in Ealing
  • Permanent role, full-time position starting September 2022
  • £21-£22,500 per year
Learning Support Assistant - Person Specification
  • 1st Class or 2:1 degree
  • Good understanding of SEN is desirable
  • Experience with children with SEN (personal or professional)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Resilient and open-minded
