Learning Support AssistantA large Secondary school located in the London borough of Hackney has an opening for a Learning Support Assistant to work with an ASD children in Year 7 and 8.**ASD/ SEN/ LSA/ TA/ KS3/ Key Stage 3/ Year 7 and 8**Teaching Assistant/ Learning Support Assistant/ LSA/ 1:1**Hackney location**Large Secondary School with Excellent Transport Links**January Start - full time**£75-£90 a day PAYEDo you have ASD experience with secondary childrenAre you looking for a role where you can make a real impact for a child who needs nurturing and supportIf so, then we would love to hear from you!Academics are currently recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant/ LSA to work with an ASD boy in a lovely secondary school based in Hackney.The position is for an experienced LSA or Psychology grad with relevant experience to work with an Autistic boy. The ideal candidate will be employed full time on a long terms supply basis at a 1:1 Teaching Assistant. Opportunities for permanent work arealso available in the secondary school.The day to day schedule will involve working closely with an ASD pupil who experiences difficulties in the classroom and requires encouragement to engage in the curriculum. Supporting the SEN department with the day to day running of schedules and generalduties is also required. You will also be comfortable working in one-to-one and in group settings with ASD children.The ideal candidate should have experience working with children that have ADHD and Autism, as well as have experience in dealing with challenging behaviour. A can do attitude us also very important as is some knowledge of the Key Stage 3 curriculum.There is an opportunity for the right individual to progress in a position with on going learning and development as a Teaching Assistant initially and potentially as a teacher.
