Job Description

Learning & Development (L&D) Support Officer 6 month fixed term contract We are looking for and experienced L&D Coordinator to support the people team. The company maintains and develops the UK retail payment systems and standards that are core to the economy being able to function on a day-to-day basis.Every day, individuals and businesses use the services they provide to get their salaries, pay their bills and make online and mobile banking payments. Their vision for the future is to enable a vibrant economy, with the company delivering the best-in-class payment infrastructure and standards for the benefit of consumers and businesses nationwide.The role sits within the HR and L&D function, this is a collaborative and dynamic setting supporting the wider business and providing the strategic direction. Your role will be to provide support to the L&D operations from administration and coordination to the L&D program. Organizing and tracking learning events to administering the internal apprenticeship schemes.Principal Accountabilities

  • To organise logistics for all L&D sessions from end to end i.e. from scheduling, liaising with external providers, tracking and co-ordinating participant data then to support on evaluation activities including ensuring feedback obtained through regular follow-up and accurate collation of information.
  • When office based, to co-ordinate any on site’ logistics including booking of rooms and supporting the facilitator(s) as needed.
  • To produce ad hoc’ materials and communications, to help promote awareness of programmes and events.
  • To co-ordinate and produce data for regular reports/dashboards to assess effectiveness and ROI of inititiatives e.g. learner attendance, learner feedback and online learning tools usage.
  • To liaise with colleagues regarding bookings, re-schedling, feedback mechanisms and manage and action any L&D related queries via a central L&D mailbox.
  • To support the processing all invoices and keeping L&D budget spreadsheets updated.
  • To support the delivery of colleague induction and on-boarding programmes.
  • To undertake other ad hoc’ support as needed across the wider team.
  • Knowledge & Experience
  • Experience of working at pace, in a busy customer focused team, to challenging deadlines.
  • Ability to react quickly and flexibly to changing demands; remaining resilient and positive.
  • Able to prioritise workload and work proactively, coordinating a number of activities effectively without compromising standards.
  • A strong team player and collaborator.
  • Excellent attention to detail and written communication skills.
  • Experience of managing and creating reports in a learning management system would be an advantage.
  • Previous work experience in an HR or L&D team would be an advantage.
