Job Description

Opportunity to spearhead a new division focused on bringing bespoke food sustainability tech solutions to clients.KEY SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Circa 10 (or more) years experience in sustainability consulting.
  • People and project management expertise.
  • Data savvy, likely with some kind of technical background.
  • Commercially astute and, whilst not expected to engage heavily in sales, an ability to spot client and commercial opportunities.
  • Food sector experience a nice to have, but relevant candidates from other sustainability related domains are also encouraged to apply!
ROLE SUMMARY:This business, currently at start-up size but growing fast and with significant backing, is harnessing the power of tech and data to bring food sustainability and traceability solutions to the market. Their services help companies across the whole food supplychain to measure their carbon footprints, before providing actionable recommendations to reduce this.Alongside their longer term Product Development efforts, they are now creating a new Consulting division to service client needs in the more immediate term - providing tailored solutions to specific clients and food sub-sectors, and ultimately adding anotherrevenue generating arm to the business. These projects could vary from providing advisory services, carrying out Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs), assessing Scope 3 inventories, etc.The role will entail heading up this new division, and could represent a great opportunity for an experienced sustainability consultant with leadership experience to further develop their career and undertake a key role with P&L responsibility.Significant experience in sustainability consulting will be required - bonus points if this has been in the food sector, but this is not a prerequisite. You will need to be of a technical background, likely data-oriented, and still have your finger on thepulse in this sense.
