Job Description

Lead Node.js Developer|6 month contract |£600-£650 per day |Outside IR35 |RemoteUnderstanding Recruitment are currently working in partnership with a global technology company in the recruitment of a Lead Node.js Developer to join the business on an initial 6 month assignment which sits outside IR35.As the Lead Node.js Developer you will assist in guiding and managing the team as well as individually contributing to the technical deliverables of the project.As the Lead Node.js developer your objective will be to ignite a legacy conversion project and work with the team to design and implement integrations with a shared service platform.We expect you to be a capable leader with excellent communication skills. You should be proactive in order to ensure effective collaboration and optimise team operations.Experience needed for the position:

  • Team lead experience of global teams as you would be expected to liaise/collaborate with the US and India.
  • In-depth working experience with Node.js and AWS.
  • Extensive experience in technical architecture and design
  • Working in cross-functional teams relying on Agile methodologies
  • Proven experience in incident handling / fixing prod environments along with experience of maintain legacy applications.
  • PostgreSQL, skilled at analysing and understanding complex SQL queries
  • Working with promises, ES8 (async/await) and legacy ES5 where required
  • You will need to have the experience to be able to make architectural decisions in a product which has legacy codebase as well as being complex.
  • Experience designing and delivering highly available, reliable, scalable and maintainable web services
  • Experience leading engineers in delivering large, complex projects
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
