Lead Golang Engineer (Trading Platform Series B Start-up)Company Overview: We are a fast-growing Series B start-up in the trading platform space, revolutionizing the way people engage with financial markets. Our platform is designed to provide seamless and efficient trading experiences to ourusers. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Golang Engineer to join our dynamic team.Job Summary: As the Lead Golang Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in developing and scaling our trading platforms backend infrastructure. You will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and collaborating closely with cross-functionalteams to ensure the delivery of high-performing and highly scalable microservices. Your deep knowledge of Golang, Kubernetes, start-up culture, and fintech will be critical in driving the success of our platform.Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Golang engineers in designing, developing, and maintaining the backend infrastructure of our trading platform.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define technical requirements and deliver innovative solutions.
  • Architect and build highly performant, scalable, and fault-tolerant microservices using Golang and Kubernetes.
  • Ensure the efficient integration of third-party APIs, data feeds, and external systems into our platform.
  • Optimize the platform for speed, scalability, and reliability, anticipating and addressing potential performance bottlenecks and security vulnerabilities.
  • Mentor and coach junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, evaluating their potential impact on our platform and making recommendations for their adoption.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Golang development, with a strong focus on building scalable, production-grade systems.
  • 3+ years of experience working with Kubernetes, including container orchestration, deployment, and management.
  • Prior experience working in a start-up environment, with a proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and ambiguous setting.
  • Solid understanding of fintech concepts, including trading platforms, financial markets, and related technologies.
  • Extensive experience designing and building high-performing microservices architectures, employing best practices for scalability and fault-tolerance.
  • Strong knowledge of database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) and experience integrating them into distributed systems.
  • Proficiency in implementing and consuming RESTful APIs and knowledge of API design principles.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities, with a proven track record of leading and motivating cross-functional teams.
