A 3 month interim opportunity working as a Lead Financial Accountant for a Central Government Department based in London. This role will be responsible for leading a team preparing accurate annual group consolidated accounts.Client DetailsMy client are one of the largest departments within the UK Government. DescriptionThe successful candidate will be responsible for: - Working within the annual financial reporting and consolidation processes-Ensuring compliance with internal and external reporting requirements.-Implementing improvements to systems and financial controls-Interpreting data and providing concise explanations on trends and variances-Preparing consolidated accounts under FReM and UK GAAP standards -Management of a team ProfileThe successful candidate will be/have: - An extensive background in preparing consolidated accounts whilst ensuring all internal and external deadlines are met.-Line management experience-Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA or equivalent) - Must be available April, May and June for the whole project. - Central government experience (strongly preferred) Job Offer
