The DM Technology team is at the core of this – transforming technology into a key business enabler. DM is investingheavily in technology through new system capabilities and development of skilled and experienced technologists. The key responsibility of the Lead Engineer – Integrations Team is to build and manage a team of developers, who will be working embedded in agileProduct Teams and the Integrations Platform Team. The developers will be supporting and enhancing existing integrations while developing new ones on either our new Azure Integrations Platform or legacy sql-based middleware. The new Azure Integration Platformis key to DM’s Technology Strategy with an ongoing migration of our legacy system integrations to the Azure cloud platform, utilising modern technologies to connect the on-premises and cloud platforms to operate at scale. The Integrations team utilise modernapproaches to engineering with extensive use of agile, lean, and devops to continually improve their effectiveness. Individual developers will be working in agile Product Teams and you will need to work closely with the Product teams to ensure their success.The Platform Team are responsible for building and maintaining the Azure Integration Platform to act as an enabler for the developers in the Product Teams. You will be responsible for ensuring both teams work together to deliver key DM objectives. To succeedin this role, you will have a technical background with previous experience of development and managing developers. You will also understand that engineering and development are socio-technical activities and possess the personal qualities that will get themost out of the team and manage the relationships with other teams that are dependent on the team’s activities. With a passion for learning, a drive for continuous improvement and a resilient personality, you will play a lead role in makingsure the high bar we set ourselves in terms of business-enabling technology is achieved. · Build and develop a global team of engineers to operate, support, and develop integrations in line with the Technology strategy and team member’s development plans ·In conjunction with Product Team leadership, manage the Integrations team, ensuring effective operation and development of these platforms in line with DM’s Technology Strategy · Define and maintain the standards, tools, processes, practices, and techniquesto ensure the team exhibits the highest professional standards and delivers high quality outcomes including agile, devops, engineering excellence, security, and governance · Contribute to the DM Technology Architecture and ensure outcomes delivered by theteam are aligned to this architecture and technical debt is minimised · Work closely with other teams within Technology (Product, Domain, Enabling and Regional teams) and the wider DM business teams to ensure the Integrations team outcomes contribute effectivelyto deliver business value · Manage and deliver the 3rd line application support function for integrations to deliver high quality and timely problem resolution for the wider business in line with agreed Service Management policies and processes. Develop andmaintain a 7x24 follow the sun approach for shared platforms operation and support · Act as an influencer and advocate for the Technology strategy across the team, function, and organisation YOUR FUNDAMENTAL QUALITIES It’s never just a job at Dr. Martens. To be our Lead Engineer – Integrations Development you will also possess these qualities: · Proven experience in a technical role with understandingof how to get the best out of engineers and developers · Resilient and collaborative approach that reflects the centrality of the team’s deliveries to the wider technology and DM business · Able to influence and inspire credibly at all levels, presenting complextechnology concepts in a clear & concise way, free from jargon · Technical background with previous development and engineering experience including: o Modern development approaches and tools (Important) o C#, Azure Functions, Service Bus (Important) o AzureApps Services, Devops CI/CD Pipelines (Important) o SQL, XML (Important) o Azure DevOps, Jira (Important) o Terraform, ARM, Biceps (Helpful) o Git Repos and GitHub enterprise (Helpful) o Automated Testing tools (Helpful) o Microsoft D365 technologies includingBYOD, DMF, X++ (Helpful) · Proven experience of modern approaches to software development and engineering including agile and devops · You will take ownership for your own development, proactively seeking out feedback to build self-awareness; you’ll prioritisethe development of those around you and will thrive on creating future technology superstars · You’ll be a proud custodian of our DM’s culture, embodying what we stand for and encouraging others to do the same · You will bring the outside-in, you’ll sharebest practice across the team / business and encourage ideas sharing as well as collaborative problem solving.
