Job Description

Lead DevOps EngineerHybrid - 2 days office based - London£70,0000 - £100,000 plus packageMy client is a privately owned, established FinTech that has over 100 employees across London and the South Coast Their innovative bespoke finance platform enables their customers to integrate a broad range of solutions that meets different business and consumer needs. The continual success of the business has stemmed from the innovation they have embedded into their platformand developing long term, strategic partnerships.Due to the continual success of the business my client is actively seeking an experienced Lead DevOps Engineer to take ownership of their Infrastructure Architecture, whilst leading the DevOps Team to improving standards, processes and procedure.Reporting into a forward thinking CTO, you will work within the Agile DevOps team , leading the teams contribution with the production and deployment of software into infrastructure. Requirements As an experienced DevOps Lead you will have excellent management and communication skills, which will enable to you manage your team, whist engaging the engineers and senior stake holders within the business.

  • 5 + years experience as a infrastructure practice, ideally within in a cloud-native environment
  • Network Principles - firewalls, routing, reverse proxies, tunneling
  • Network Appliances - secure token stores, certificate stores, ingress gateways
  • Knowledge and experience of software development in Java, Spring Boot
  • OpenAPI / Swagger
  • Kafka or similar
  • Logging and monitoring - CloudWatch
  • CI / CD - Jenkins, Bamboo, GitHub, SVN, Ansible, Terraform
  • Release process - versioning, canary testing, phased deployment
  • Work in collaboration with development, Architects and QA
