This is not your normal landscape gardening role. This is for someone who is passionate about horticulture - and wants to teach other people so they can get a career within landscaping. You will be joining a regeneration charity. They help create better communities through the environment and horticulture. You will lead a team of 4 staff to deliver landscaping projects across Hammersmith & Fulham and Westminster. Your team will consist of one senior member of staff, and three trainees who are on a 6 month placement (so every 6 month you will receive a new trainee team). The charity win local authority and housing association tenders not just on the basis of their outstanding work. But how they support the community. Each local project they work on they recruit trainees who are unemployed and want to launch a career in horticulture. The trainees are paid staff, and want someone (you) to support and train them.To apply, you need to have a strong horticultural background. You must have supervisory experience. And you must have planned horticultural projects. Please apply via this advert. If you would rather talk to someone on the phone first before applying, please call the office and ask for James (phone number on the Red 5 People website). You might have previously worked as a Head Groundsman, Senior Gardener, Head Gardener, or managed landscape gardening teams. Experience of delivering horticulture or soft landscaping projects for housing associations or local authorities is an advantage (but not essential). Required skills
