Are you an experienced laboratory technician or science graduate looking for a new job opportunityWe are currently looking for a laboratory support technician to join a leading biotechnology company based in the London area. As the laboratory support technician, you will be supporting the R&D laboratory teams and scientists with all aspects of running safe and efficient laboratory operations, mainly within logistics and sample management.KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Your duties as the laboratory support technician will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:1. You will be responsible for stock maintenance, procurement, maintenance of glassware and equipment; and general laboratories and waste treatment and disposal. You will also take a lead role in the dispatch and receipt of materials to and from various sites.2. As part of the laboratory team, you will be trained and be involved in the shipment logistics, laboratory management and support of other activities as required to ensure smooth running of the laboratories.3. The laboratory support technician will be responsible for the general upkeeping of the laboratory, ensuring proper disposal of laboratory waste whilst maintaining the health & safety policy. ROLE REQUIREMENTS:To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the laboratory support technician we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:1. A scientific degree or sample management / logistics experience is required for this position. You will also need to have good attention to detail and good organisational skills.2.
