Due to an increase in the number of students, the International British School of Bucharest is seeking to appoint a qualified, experienced Mathematics Teacher with a proven track record of outstanding teaching across KS3-5. To start August 17, 2021.The International British School of Bucharest is a AoBSO, COBIS, and CIS Accredited school, undergoing 3 yearly BSO inspections. The school was last inspected in March 2018, and is a school rated Good-Outstanding. In 2020, IBSB also became the first High Peformance Learning School in Romania, with student attainment levels well above the national average in England. Class sizes are small, with up to 22 students in a class in KS3 & 4, and usually 10 or less in KS5 Mathematics. The school has a 65% Romanian, 35% international mix, with 350 students and around 200 students in the Secondary School.The teaching environment is personalised and friendly, with many successful programmes set up to support and extend students at both ends of the spectrum. 100%+ of students graduating continued on to university in 2020, with 87% receiving offers from universities ranked in the top 5% of universities worldwide. UK is the main destination of choice, followed by the Netherlands.
