Junior Web Application Developer / Junior Software Developer / Low Code Programmer -HTML, CSS, Javascript, SOAP, AGILE/SCRUM, SQL/MySQL. Insurance, London/Remote Working, Permanent. £20k - £25k +Benefits Multi-national insurance company seeks to appoint a Junior Web Application Developer to play a role in the development of a range of insurance brokerage and underwriting applications using a “Low-Code” Model Driven Development Platform called “OutSystems”. Any development language experience including PHP, Javascript, C#, Java can be considered along with some experience of HTML/CSS and ideally SQL/MySQL. The OutSystems platform utilises a GUI (graphical user interface) based approach combined with elements of web based programming to enable businesses to rapidly accelerate the development of critical applications, deliver cloud-based modern apps, and keep up with the changing needs of their business to drive innovation. The Junior Web Application Developer will play a key role in the delivery of a suite of Insurance Brokerage and Underwriting applications through customisation and development utilising the OutSystems platform (training will be provided) along with a backbone of development skills in any programming language (PHP, C#, Java, Objective-C etc) combined with web development skills HTML, CSS, Javascript and SQL/MySQL. Any experience of front-end API testing using SOAPUI would be highly beneficial. Agile/Scrum methods are employed within this team and you will become involved with fortnightly sprints. We are searching for a Junior Web Application Developer / Junior Web Developer / Junior Software Engineer who has been working in a commercial programming capacity for around 1 - 2 years and had a decent grasp of web development using front end development skills and potentially some experience with backend programming languages such as PHP, C#, Java, Python, C/C++, Objective-C etc. You do not need to be an expert level programmer but have some capabilities with HTML, CSS and Javascript and be keen to work in a cutting edge, business facing environment focussed on rapid application development. No prior experience of OutSystems is necessary, full training will be provided. Strong organisation and communication skills are required for this role.
