Junior Sous Chef - London N5 Salary: £12PH + Tips The CompanyDo you want to work for a leading traditional British Pub located in the heart of Highbury. Our client pride themselves on creating classic British food to an exceptional standard. The pub is full of character and one of the best locations in Highbury for locally sourced fresh food and not to forget the best Sunday lunch.The Role You will be a passionate and creative Sous Chef with experience in a similar setting, you will be ready to hit the ground running supporting the Head Chef and wider kitchen team.Role Responsibilities:

  • Food Preparation
  • Assist the Head Chef in all aspects of planning, organising and communicating within all kitchen departments
  • Control and manage food costs in line with budgets
  • Source ingredients
  • Exceptional standard of plating dishes
  • Cooking to a high standard
  • Managing BOH costs and margins
  • Excellent Food/Heath and Safety standards
  • Assist the Head Chef in creating new and exciting seasonal menus
  • Passion for Food
    • Essential Skills & Requirements:
  • Have a passion for Food
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Creativity and Flare
  • Proven track record of managing/overseeing kitchen operations
  • Ability to remain positive and productive in busy environment
  • Calum under pressure
  • 3+ years in a Sous Chef Position
  • Amazing communication skills
