Junior Software Engineer - Java

We have had an influx of new projects over the past few months and have some further big projects on the horizon meaning we are now ableto grow our development team by adding several Java Developers across all levels of experience building enterprise level software applications. In terms of developers, were expanding across the board. As a company, we work with multiple modern technologies,with a focus on cloud based (AWS) Java applications. We are committed to keeping our tech stacks up to date. We offer a friendly and varied working environment (not to mention were a family-oriented business), and place huge value on offering all employeesthe room to progress and grow as developers.WHAT WILL YOU BE DOINGAs a valued member of the development team, you will have the opportunity to deliver predominantly cloud (AWS) based solutions to a multitude of big UK operators using your Java experience. Whilst no two days will be the same, your role will generally covera variety of responsibilities including project delivery, software development and quality assurance. The experience you have gained so far, either through your academic study or commercial work will stand you in good stead to progress quickly in our business.Working within a fast-paced agile environment, you will be creative and innovative in order to deliver high quality results. You will help to provide support, knowledge and guidance to other members of the team and help bring any new junior team members upto speed with development techniques.YOU NEED TO HAVE
  • A strong grasp of Java technologies, with 6-12 months commercial experience post graduation
  • An understanding of cloud technologies, ideally with Amazon Web Services
  • Perform well under pressure and meet challenging deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • The desire for continued professional development
