Our client, a leading UK Wealth Manager are looking to hire a Junior Settlements Administrator to join their expanding London team. The successful candidate will assist the department Supervisor with all aspects of processing for settlement covering CREST, residual, overseas & funds’ assets.Main tasks:AdministrationAssist Supervisor /Line Manager with updates to departmental procedure manualsEnsure Departmental Daily Check Lists are updated and completedKeep up to date with all changes within the industryMaintain product knowledge through cross training within the departmentProvide cross-training to other staff members within the teamComplete target and goal setting that has been set through appraisal process.Day-to-Day tasks includeCrest checking, download of daily report and liaison with dealers/counterparties to resolve issuesProcessing of Crest stock depositsProcessing of equity and bond settlements in both UK and wide range of foreign marketsInvestigation of unsettled transactions in all marketsProduction of Daily Unsettled Trades ReportProcessing of funds settlementLiaison with Global Custodian and Funds Custodians with regard to failed/unmatched tradesDematerialisation of both UK and Foreign physical certificatesCash Memorandum Account daily reconciliationInvestigation of daily stock reconciliation breaksComplianceWork within the regulatory and the Firm’s compliance frameworkMaintain own professional competence through training and course workPersonal ConductEnsure that the firm’s clients and staff are always treated fairly and responsibly, with respect and considerationQualifications, skills, experience and competencies neededEssential: Preferably educated to degree levelAdvantageous: Some experience within a Private Client environmentWilling to work toward the CISI Investment Operations CertificateAcademic/Other Skills Required:Minimum of Grade C’ at GCSE English and MathsWell organised and able to prioritise own work loadsExcellent written and verbal communications skillsAbility to maintain required standards when working under pressureGood attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervisionGood understanding of Microsoft programmes, having a minimum of basic skills in MS Word and intermediate skills in MS Excel
