Job Description

This company designs and produces some of the best door furniture and ironmongery in the world used on exclusive residential and hospitality projects. Their core ranges are designed and manufactured in Britain, and are the result of a history of innovation combined with decades of experience.They are now looking to add to the team by recruiting a recent product design graduate for the role of CAD and ERP Administrator who will be responsible for ensuring all products are drawn with absolute accuracy and can be made in the most efficient way possible and that all product data and assets are well-managed, maintained and organized. This will be through the Governments Kickstart scheme so the candidate will need to be 24 years old or younger.Responsibilities will include to:

  • Draw new products in CAD
  • Bring the products to market through the development of prototypes and testing
  • Design and engineer bespoke products for prestigious architects and interior design customers
  • Maintain the product and component drawing database
  • Provide the sales team with costing estimates
  • Maintain the bills of materials for the product range on the ERP system
  • Create fitting instructions and finishing diagrams
  • Skills and aptitude:
  • The ability to manage CAD files using file-management software
  • Fluent in Inventor or SolidWorks
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment that requires speed and flexibility
  • Knowledge of designing parts for CNC machining
  • A passion for making things and a good practical understanding
  • Ability to build good relationships with internal staff and external suppliers
  • Basic coding experience would be useful, as would experience using a lathe or milling machine
