Job Description

We are currently in the market seeking a Junior - Mid level Core Java Developer for one of the leading Investment Banks in London.We have 2 FTC 12 month contracts and 2 inside IR35 £400 per day contracts.This is an great opportunity to get into banking should you not have that experience on your CV or further more your current experience.Details below.Job Title: Java Developer - Front Office - No banking experience required but its advantageous.Central London & South London.Hybrid - 3 days in the office and 2 days WFH.Skills Required:

  • Java - hands-on experience, including multi-threading.
  • Unix / Linux environment exposure
  • SQL / relational database skills
  • Positive attitude, enjoying working in team
  • Good communication skills
Role Description:
  • Java software engineer working as part of a front-office technology team, delivery of software for the banks Equities trading business, across multiple business areas.
  • Involved in all aspects of software development to deliver new business functionality, non-functional requirements, such as capacity, performance and availability, new regulations as well platform modernization and enhancements
  • Develop unit tests, automated testing and documentation part of changes being implemented
  • Provide level 3 function by assisting Level 2 team to answer queries from users
  • The role is based at our UK headquarters in the City of London
