Job Description

We have an amazing opportunity to join a purpose-led, sustainableconsumer brand offering flexible working, great internal benefits, and exciting social events. They need a data driven & commercial Junior Merchandiser to join their team.Working closely with both internal teams and our retail partners, you will be key in ensuring stock is delivered in full and in a timely and efficient manner to our customers. Your role will involve working with a large number of SKUs, forecasting and keepingfull availability on both new and continuity lines, as well as project managing key company launches and promotions.The ideal candidate will have previous experience within a fast-paced, consumer goods environment, ideally within a Merchandising, Demand Planning, or Supply Chain function. You must have a deadline driven approach, strong excel skills, and be comfortable working with large data sets. We are looking for someone with drive and an eye for detail, who is keento join a purpose-led business and really develop their career in this field.Duties in this Junior Merchandiser position include:
  • Working closely with the merchandisers at the retailer customers, ensuring accurate and realistic forecasts
  • Working with the wider merchandising team on stock planning for continuity lines, ensuring optimum availability at all times
  • Assist on creation of sales and forecasting packs for weekly trade meetings
  • Along with the supply chain team and working closely with the supplier base, ensure POs are in line with the critical path and agreed delivery to retailer dates
  • Manage the shipment schedules for your customers, ensuring goods are delivered in a timely and effective manner, mitigating risks, and escalating any blockers
  • Communicate any required carton or labelling requirements to the supplier base, updating customer portals with products and shipping information as needed
  • Book retailers orders with freight forwarders portals, liaising with global suppliers as required
  • Processing orders through internal systems, ensuring accurate WIP at all times
  • Working closely with the warehouse to ensure on-time delivery out to customer
  • Checking and processing invoicing and any debit notes as required
Skills and attributes needed in this Junior Merchandiser role include:
  • Experience within a Merchandising, Demand Planning, Supply Chain function or similar
  • Some FMGC experience would be ideal
  • Working knowledge of key accounts / volume retailers
  • Highly numeric - An analytical, data driven approach
  • Confident handling large data sets, keen to spot trends, patterns and analyse
  • Strong communication skills and a great relationship builder, with a customer-focussed approach
  • A proactive problem solver and an excellent multitasker
  • First class Excel skills
  • Thrives working within a busy, fast-paced environment
  • A team player who is looking to learn, develop & grow within an exciting business
