Job Description

Junior Market Research Analyst - Customer InsightTerm: Full-time, PermanentSalary: £22,000 - £30,000 depending on experienceBased: High Wycombe, London, or remote (UK only, with regular office visits)We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Junior Research Executive to join us in our quest to deepen our understanding of both our current and potential customers.Our mission is to break down barriers to creativity for our customers. Putting them at the core of our design and decision-making process is key to delivering on our mission and our research keeps us focused on what’s important to them. Working with the Insight, Business Intelligence, Product Design and Customer Experience (CX) teams, you’ll help to provide research insights to support decision making across the business.Key activities include:

  • Taking ownership for our approach to surveying; through curating, providing consul/guidance/reviews and analysis of results. Defining best practices for survey structures, question structures, as well as data analysis
  • Working to help improve our source data, identifying, highlighting/communicating where bias may exist, and working with the relevant teams/stakeholders to remove it where possible
  • Centralising, consolidating, and documenting existing research and sources of insight
  • Presenting and clearly communicating results to generate actionable insights
  • Working with all research/marketing/data/CX teams to improve the research practice by looking into new research methodologies and ways of working.
  • Helping to pull together relevant data and sources which feed into our understanding of our customers through Persona’s and segmentation
  • Working to ensure consistency and quality in approaches to implementing analytics
  • Working with the Privacy Committee to make sure the data we gather is handled in line with our ethical and regulatory responsibilities
  • An ideal candidate is likely to be:
  • A graduate degree in a relevant subject (Market Research, Social Research, Psychology, Social Science, Anthropology, UX Research)
  • An MRS Certificate holder in Market research (or similar qualification)
  • Experienced with survey design; knows how to structure surveys & questions to achieve high engagement, avoid leading and provide the desired insights
  • Familiar with basic statistics and statistical bias concepts
  • Able to demonstrate experience of taking complex data and presenting it is an engaging and understandable format
  • Strong interpersonal skills - the ability to communicate clearly and persuasively
  • Able to work independently as well as alongside/across multiple teams
  • Curious, self-motivated and have a growth mindset
  • Customer-focused
  • Interested in music, recording, or audio
  • Aware of the differences between Data-driven and data-informed contexts with an understanding where each approach should be used
  • This is a new role in an area that has grown to require dedicated resource and is an area we expect to continue to grow, a great opportunity to join us at this key point and help shape the role and our approach.You will learn through real life hands-on experience whilst continuing your development in the field of research by attending webinars, seminars and specialist workshops.
