Our London based client have a new and exciting opportunity within their legal team. You will be an ambitious and personable Junior Insurance Litigator (Solicitor, Barrister or Chartered Legal Executive), looking for an exciting opportunity to work ona variety of interesting and challenging cases.Reporting to the Head of Legal Practice, you will handle a case load of Professional Indemnity claims against a variety of professionals but also have the ability to service other types of claims as the ABS expands, including financial risks claims. You willdeliver high quality and cost-effective legal representation, demonstrate excellent litigation knowledge and provide excellent client service. On a day to day basis you will:Deal with both pre-action and litigated claims to a conclusion, demonstrating an effective use of your legal and commercial skillsProvide case analysis and recommendations on strategy/ADRSupervise various tasks/projects delegated to others within the teamBuild relationships and liaise closely with a variety of Claims Professionals, Brokers and InsuredsIndependently handle a moderate caseload with moderate level of severity and complexityWork under the guidance and supervision of the Head of Legal Practice and others in dealing with more complex and high exposure claimsPerson SpecificationExperience in insurance litigation is highly desirableExperience in handling Professional Indemnity and financial risks cases is desiredAdvanced interpersonal skillsPersuasive legal writing skills and oral advocacy skillsAbility to clearly and succinctly articulate positionAdvanced presentation skillsAbility to handle and analyse legal issues independently and with minimal supervisionAbility to work collaboratively with team members and othersDemonstrates desire to acquire effective trial skills with increased litigation complexityDemonstrates superior legal acumenDemonstrates personal commitment to professional developmentIntermediate negotiation skillsWhat Is A Must HaveFully qualified Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive or Barrister in England and WalesSome Post Qualification Experience (PQE)
