Job Description

A rapidly growing FinTech providing working capital solutions to large Corporates and Banks is looking for a new Junior Implementation Developer to join its London team.Client DetailsJunior Implementation Developer - FinTechThe organisation is a rapidly growing FinTech providing working capital solutions to large corporates and banks.Their technology platform connects hundreds of multinationals to banks and institutional investors.DescriptionJunior Implementation Developer - FinTechAs a Junior Implementation Developer, you will be responsible for collaborating with Senior Implementation Developers in the development of client-specific reporting and solutions.Main Duties:

  • Undertake development of bespoke reports, processing rules, and other custom code primarily using SQL, Crystal Reports, and Jasper Reports
  • Produce documentation for the solutions developed to ensure they can be operated and supported after deployment
  • Support the execution of System Integration Testing and Data Integrity Testing
  • Support the execution of User Acceptance Testing, undertaking triage, investigation, and resolution of issues identified
  • Participate in User Story playback sessions, helping to refine and clarify requirements
  • Provide effort estimates for newly specified work packages
  • Collaborate closely with Implementation Consultants, Project Managers, Solution Architects, Automation Engineers, and other Implementation Developers to deliver projects on time and on budget
  • Support Senior Implementation Developers and the Technical Implementation Manager with ad-hoc issues and requests, including basic configuration and investigating UAT issues
    • ProfileJunior Implementation Developer - FinTech Education/Qualifications: Preferred: Bachelors degree in a numerate subject Essential requirements:
  • You have at least 1 years experience working in an engineering role in a Financial Services or Technology business
  • You have demonstrable experience developing SQL stored procedures
  • You have demonstrable experience developing branded reports using tools such as Crystal Reports or Jasper Reports
  • You have demonstrable experience of working within a project environment
  • You are familiar with software development best practices including SDLC phases and activities
  • You have exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in work product
  • You have strong collaboration skills across functions and seniority levels
  • You flourish in a dynamic high-pressure environment, and are comfortable context switching between different projects and tasks
    • Desired requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in a numerate subject
  • Understanding of relevant technologies, SAP ASE (a.k.a. Sybase), Java, Apache Camel, Apache Karaf, Talend, Maven, Tomcat, Apache Spark, MySQL
  • Experience working in a cloud environment with technologies such as Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes
  • Demonstrable experience of working with, organising and analysing data with tools such as Excel
