Junior Hedge Fund Operational Risk Analyst

Main Purpose This role sits in the Operational Risk team to perform operational risk due diligence assessments of the firms alternative investments, namely hedge funds. Responsibilities Performing an analysis of asset management businesses with the goalof identifying key risks that the business and fund investment poses to potential/current investors Frequent on-site interaction with senior asset management operational leadership members (i.e. CEOs, COOs, CFOs, GCs, and CCOs) as part of the initial and on-goingdue diligence process Reporting back findings in a timely manner to all members of FRMs research and managed account teams in an open discussion forum Documenting due diligence findings in a comprehensive report, ensuring key risks are understood, documented,mitigated or resolved prior to the completion of due diligence Working to investment deadlines Assisting in the structuring of investments across FRMs managed account platform. The team member will work closely with other teams at FRM including: FRMs ManagerResearch team as part of performing due diligence over the life of an investment FRM Managed Account Team on the set up, execution and ongoing oversight of managed accounts, ensuring implementation of the relevant business risk points Man Groups support management,sales and client services teams on projects and client driven requests Key Skills & Experience Approx. 3 years Operational Risk / Operational Due Diligence experience in alternative asset management - preferred Flexible and proactive team player; willingto help team members in both New York and London with various projects and tasks Strong written and verbal communication skills Able to work in a globally oriented, entrepreneurial environment Experience of working to tight deadlines About Man FRM Man FRMis an alternative investment specialist, deploying investment and advisory services within client portfolios.
