We help our clients in areas such as Credit Risk, RevenueAssurance, Value Based Management, Data Management Solutions and Consulting across industries such as Telecoms, Finance and Utilities.As a Junior DevOps Engineer at Sagacity Solutions, you will support the DevOps Leads on the operations, development and security of the companies cloud-based IT infrastructurePrincipal responsibilities will involve:

  • Help with maintenance and administration of existing IT systems and development of new IT systems
  • Responding to, troubleshooting, and resolving issues raised by the development team on the AWS estate
  • Pro-actively manage system issues and faults including ensuring that systems are being correctly monitored, patched and upgraded
  • Work alongside third-party vendors on infrastructure projects or in the implementation of security testing and audits
  • Providing technical consulting and providing technical documentation for colleagues on client projects/deployments as required
  • Help manage and oversee the review of Access Management
  • Assisting in creation of automated CI/CD pipelines and automating all aspects of infrastructure

Education, Training & ExperienceYoure an engineer with experience delivering and managing data intensive applications to high standards of reliability, efficiency, and maintainability. You will additionally have experience of data architectures and data modelling techniques facilitatingdata product use cases.You will have the ability to operate effectively in unfamiliar fast-paced environments and working across multiple projects in an agile manner.Required:
  • You will have proven experience in strong analytic skills and can operate effectively in unfamiliar environments, remaining calm under pressure and agile in approach.
  • Qualification in Computer Science or a STEM related degree
  • Good knowledge of Linux server administration and configuration (preferably Ubuntu or CentOS)
  • Experience in code development in at least one high-level programming or scripting language e.g. Bash, Python
  • A good understanding of Git
Desirable:
  • Experience in creation and deployment of automated infrastructures
  • Administering or working with AWS or similar cloud environment
  • Knowledge of Office 365 / Azure AD
  • Previous experience or knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Docker)
