Junior DevOps Consultant - 28 Month ApprenticeshipLondon/Home Based (with regular travel into London)The CompanyOur client is recruiting on behalf of a specialist distribution company in the cloud native and DevOps space.With hundreds of customers and partners who they assist with the most cutting-edge technologies and application practices, the company not only provides professional implementation services but also technical workshops and learning sessions.They are now looking for two Junior DevOps Consultant to join them for a higher level, 28 month apprenticeship.The Role As a Junior DevOps Consultant, you will develop a range of skills that will enable you to assist customers and staff from partner organisations on technical work and projects.Specifically, you will learn how to implement cutting-edge cloud native solutions, working with some of the world’s most advanced companies. Your role will involve assisting customers with DevOps pipelines as well as Cloud and Container platforms, implementations, integrations and the development of technical content for workshops.You will work alongside Senior Architects and Consultants, implementing technical solutions at customer sites, delivering on implementation goals, supporting technical workshops for partners and customers and assisting in developing technical material. You will also have the chance to contribute technical ideas for the overall solutions offering, provide support for products to gain certification and help out with technical training sessions.You will have the chance to gain the following technical knowledge and skills:- Linux based technical skills- Solid cloud fundamentals across all platforms with a specialism in AWS, GCP or Azure- Modern development practices such as CI/CD, DevOps, Infrastructure as Code and Agile- Container technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker- Core products in the company portfolio: Prisma Cloud (Palo Alto Networks), Terraform & Vault (HashiCorp) and NGINX (F5)About YouTo be considered as a Junior DevOps Consultant, you will need:- To be degree educated in a technical subject- To be personable and happy and comfortable working in a customer-facing capacity- A capacity for solo learning- The ability to work as part of a team- Great problem-solving capabilitiesKnowledge of Linux basics including familiarity with command line/shell technologies would be beneficial to your application.
