Job Description

Junior Cyber Security Engineer - BankingExcellent opportunity opens within a growing Private Bank for a Junior IT professional with a Service Desk/Desktop Support background to upskill into Cyber Security.The ideal candidate will be ambitious and passionate about Tech, with a desire to learn and develop into a Security expert.Responsibilities will include;

  • Assist with the delivery of the Banks strategic Cyber Security roadmap and maintaining regulatory compliance
  • Act as a security point of contact to advise and guide the IT team as to effective ways of operating the Banks diverse security tooling
  • Assist with the collection, collation and presentation of assurance that the Banks security controls are operating as intended and within the Banks risk tolerance (including organising vulnerability management and penetration testing exercises)
  • Maintain an awareness of the current threat landscape and help with the identification of innovative controls and mitigations to match
  • Familiarise yourself in using specialist security tools to resolve security issues and security related requests
  • Help to generate security performance metrics and KPIs
  • Help to ensure that the Bank can effectively respond and recover from Cyber security incidents
