Job Description

Job Title: JournalistSalary: £23,000 - £28,000 (DoE)Location: LondonThe Company: This company publish Europes most highly respected Private Equity titles and host the industrys most prestigious award ceremonies. For over 20 years, the business has run its flagship publication brand, together with associated awards and conferences.Both the Publications and Events parts of the business are seen as drivers of growth and they are investing in the right talent to take the business forward. Reporting to the Editor, you will be joining a title which is the industrys most trusted source of private equity news, deep analysis and comprehensive deal coverage.Responsibilities and duties:

  • Work daily with the team to develop a strong news offering for the web and email newsletter
  • Produce long form features and analyses for the bi-weekly magazine
  • Work closely with the editor and designer, suggesting layout ideas and editing pages on InDesign
  • Lead video projects with the team and industry
  • Chair panels, roundtables, webinars and podcasts
  • Represent the publication at industry events
  • Build relationships with senior industry executives
  • Skills:
  • Undergraduate degree and NCTJ qualification or equivalent and at least 1 to 3 years journalism experience
  • A keen interest in news, finance, business and people
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Good organisation skills and the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
  • An ability to grasp complex issues quickly and explain them in simple, concise language
  • Well-developed research skills
  • Demonstrable history of obtaining exclusives and scoops
