JavaScript Developer - React / Typescript / Node - 6 Month Contact - £550 to £650 PAYE - LondonThe CompanyA leading UK retailer is currently seeking an experienced Full Stack JavaScript Developer for a major ongoing project. This position is on a 6 month rolling basis.The RoleThis position will be working in an agile team of industry leading engineers upon customer facing web applications. Responsibilities*Working with Product Managers, you will be responsible for the future direction of the products that are built, solving problems and developing new features through quality, scalable, performant and maintainable technical solutions. *You will use innovation to improve the customer experience and efficiency of engineering teams.Some of the tech stack which is currently being used at scale: ES6, React, Redux, React-router, Node, Angular, Less, Styled-components Webpack, webdriver.io, Cloud Infrastructure, DockerExperience Required *Strong commercial experience as a Frontend Software Developer*Best-practices regarding all aspects of web development including design, semantic HTML mark-up, CSS, JavaScript and related technologies*Exposure to a variety of JavaScript frameworks and libraries such as: React, Redux, Webpack React-Router and testing with Jest, Jasmine, Enzyme, Mocha.*Experience of using Node.js to create high traffic websites using Express.js, Sails, Koa or similar*Awareness and practice of UI performance best practices*Understanding and exposure to integrating REST API endpoints*Strong experience and understanding of industry standard web accessibility, web design & usability; to support sites cross browser/platform/device*Exposure to the DevOps model*Experience in Lean and Agile environments and understanding of principles behind methodologies such as: BDD, ATDD and TDDA retail background would be preferred for the position or a background in a similar payments/customer order environment.Experience in device.JS would also be beneficial.If the above sounds lie you and you would be keen to join one of the UKs largest retailers then please apply now for immediate consideration.Spring Technology acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
