Global investment banking firm seeks a VP Level Java Technical Lead within their Markets Execution Technology team based in London.The firm are looking for a Java developer with expertise of Equity Derivative knowledge or Derivatives risk knowledge in general. This is a leadership role, where the candidate will be expected to lead a small team of developers in addition to being a handson developer.Key Skills:* Extensive experience of developing medium to large scale core Java multi-tier / multi-component applications and hands-on experience with Micro-services and cloud-based technologies* Knowledge of Derivatives Products and Risk Management concepts including Profit and Loss, greeks - Equity Derivatives* Very solid core Java skills including but not limited to Generics, Collections, Multithreading, Input/Output, Streams and Java Database Connectivity * Proficiency in reading, writing and debugging multithreaded java code - writing code using streams and other features of Java 11* Exceptional problem solving skills - ability to understand a complex problem and translate the solution into a program using Object Oriented programing fundamentals. * Proficiency in technologies backing java development and deployment: Spring, maven, xml* Experience of technically leading a team* Involvement of working in an Agile environment (preferably Scrum/Kanban)McGregor Boyall is an equal opportunity employer and do not discriminate on any grounds.
