Job Description

Java / Scala Software EngineerLondon / Remote£70000 - £75000Our client is currently is recruiting for a Java / Scala Software Engineer. The Java / Scala Software Engineer will be responsible for creating and maintaining the middle tier, desktop and web-based applications.Key Experience / Responsibilities for the Java / Scale Software Engineer

  • Contributing in collaboration with Senior Software Engineer, for design, estimation, implementation, test and technical documentation of new features and components, ensuring compliance with standards and guidelines
  • Providing third-level product support
  • Knowledge of the Java/Scala programming language is required
  • Knowledge of Scala programming language is highly beneficial
  • Knowledge and working experience with object-oriented design and design patterns is beneficial.
  • Understanding of full product development life cycle
  • Working experience in an Agile development environment is highly beneficial
  • Feeling comfortable working with a large established code base
  • Provide third-level product support
  • Ability to express innovative ideas to improve the product
