Java Oracle Developer

Job Description

My client is currently recruiting for a Lead Java/Oracle Developer for an initial 6-12 month contract based in London. This role will be on boarded and start remotely but will move into the London based offices when covid allows. This role is paying between £500 to £600 p.day PAYE (INSIDE IR35) Key responsibilities *Contribute to the architecture, design and development of software solutions to business problems, working both autonomously when required, and collaborating effectively as part of a multi-location development team*Work closely with business owners, domain/data architects and other engineers to ensure optimal implementation of solution to support dashboards, reporting and analytical datasets for Credit Risk reporting and Analytics*Exhibit agile behaviors across a global team with focus on understanding and delivering business value*Design and develop database objects using PL/SQL*Design and develop java based solutions*Design and develop performant ETL processes in line with strategic architecture and tools*Participates and resolves findings in code reviews (4 eyes principle) of developed source code*Verifies integrated software components by automated unit tests and integrated software testing according to the software test plan. *Measures and analyzes code for quality and performanceKey Skills/Knowledge:*Strong technical fundamentals in JAVA / Spring / RestFull*Strong knowledge of Oracle 11g/12c and RDBMS*Proven track record of taking complex design challenges and delivering large projects.*Strong understanding of SOA and microservices architecture*Knowledge of automation tooling for CI/CD delivery*JMS, Apache Kafka knowledge, Hazelcast or other caching understanding*Kubernetes, Docker understanding and hands on, Tomcat / WebLogic server hands on*Sonar for Quality Gateway*HTML5 / JavaScript / Angular knowledge*Practical experience of test-driven development and constant refactoring in continuous integration and test automation environment*Experience of working in an Agile Development team practicing (SCRUM), KANBAN, XP. Familiarization with SAFe (Scaled Agile) delivery methodology concepts*Successful background in investment banking (preferable in Credit Risk) as well as cross product or regulatory knowledge would be beneficial*Rigorous, resourceful, adaptable with good attention to detail and strong project ownership*Practical knowledge of Git, JIRA, Bit Bucket, Team City and uDeploy tools*Excellent communication and consulting skills ability to work independently*Critical thinking and problem-solving skills*Ensuring development is in line with the agreed architecture*Ensuring proposed solutions are in line with the group/organization architectural roadmap.*Derisking deliveries by performing PoCIf this role is of interest please send a copy of your latest cv for immediate interest Spring Technology acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
