Job Description

Java Engineer - Java 8, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Spring Boot£65,000 - 75,000 and benefits,LondonPrimarily Remote, with occasional travel THE COMPANYHarnham is working exclusively with a financial institution in London that is in the process of building a market-leading customer user interface. This is a great opportunity to work at a household name company, working on complex projects at scale on products that make consumers lives easier!THE ROLEAs a Java Engineer in this team, you will:

  • You will be responsible for building the interface with a high-performing modern team on serverless cloud infrastructure.
  • Build Microservices in the Cloud using Java 8 and Spring Boot
  • Apply DevOps practices (Kubernetes) and follow best practice engineering principles such as Agile, TDD, BDD, and more
  • You will be working within a big team of software developers, QA analysts, and engineers.
EXPERIENCE - Java EngineerYou will have:
  • A BSc or MSc in a STEM degree (e.g. mathematics, computer science etc.)
  • Strong experience coding in Java (8+ ideally) is a must
  • Knowledge of AWS, Spring Boot, and containerisation (Kubernetes)
  • Experience with could infrastructure
  • Experience with APIs
  • Experience working within fast-paced teams driving the development of software
