The Collateral Technology department provides systems for the efficient management of member collateral processing and front office investment functions across all clearing house entities.Growing and developing our Collateral Management service is core to supporting the growth of the multiple clearing services of the firm. The service is looking to add new, innovative Collateral Management services whilst ensuring system stability and performance remains rock solid.The Collateral Management system uses market infrastructure providers, commercial banks, central banks, triparty collateral management agents, and global custodians in day to day operations. We interface to and manage the collateral for every clearing service in the firm. We operate in multiple jurisdictions and are governed by multiple regulators globally.At the core of the service is the 3rd party vendor application Calypso. The IT team is a key partner in enabling the expansion of the service and as a result we are now looking to bolster the development team to add experience and skills.As LCH.Clearnet develops its Collateral Management services, we need experienced and talented individuals to drive and support our delivery agenda. This is an exciting opportunity to join an area of the business in growth mode with a full and varied book of work, underpinning the stability and growth of the firm.Key ObjectivesThis is a Lead Developer role for an experienced full stack developer with previous exposure to design and delivery of both functional and performance enhancements across the Calypso platform. Exposure to code and database optimization will be a differentiator. This role would suit a self starter with an interest in performance and capacity tuning.This individual should be pragmatic and detail focused, drive their workload without the need for significant direction, with a focus on delivery.The Collateral Technology team is cross discipline and it is important that the individual works well within the team, understanding the requirements of their colleagues.Responsibilities The successful candidate will be a key member of the development team taking ownership for delivery of assigned requirements, working with team members to ensure the technical implementation is fit for purpose.This role will have an additional focus on performance and capacity. Working closely with application support, DBAs and System administrators to analyse performance bottlenecks across the application and develop performance optimisations.ReportingLead Developer reports to the Collateral Development Manager and will be expected to work closely with and build relationships with the many and various stakeholders across the organisation.Knowledge and Skills
