Job Description

Java Developer6-month contract with view of extensionCentral London£700 daily(Inside IR35)OpportunityJava developer required for industry leading financial organisation based in London. Fantastic rates paid and opportunity to work with cutting edge technologies on bespoke financial services software.Experience

  • Delivered at least one large-scale project to production
  • Worked in high performance cross-functional Agile software engineering teams
  • Know and have practised basic Agile practices such as Kanban/Scrum/Lean/XP etc, Test Driven Development (TDD), Continuous Integration/ Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)
  • Experience with cross-functional roles
  • Experience developing and maintaining front-office applications
Profile
  • Strong developer with at least 3 years of experience writing clean, production-quality code in Java or Kotlin.
  • Able to work in a small and rapidly growing team across all parts of the stack.
  • Familiarity with NoSQL and Relational databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB)
  • Enthusiastic about building technology that makes a difference.
  • A good communicator and natural collaborator who can work with colleagues at all levels.
  • Able to spot bad user experiences and suggest improvements.
  • Good understanding of end-to-end application architecture
  • Comfortable in working with cloud infrastructure, infrastructure as a code and familiar with standard logging and monitoring tools used to investigate issues.
