Java Developer: London - Contract/Perm - Hybrid (2-3 days in the office) One of our clients, that delivers on a wide portfolio of next-generation offerings and services and blends their domain expertise with cutting-edge technology, is looking for a Java Developer. They are working on a massive internal project for fixed incomeE-trading systems that is a real-time pricing and electronic trading platform for interest rate swaps, government, supranational and corporate bonds, credit derivatives, bills, commercial paper and emerging markets. The business functions involve connectingto multiple electronic venues like Bloomberg; TradeWeb; and exchanges. The level of the Java Developer is flexible, but Java; REST/SOAP; JVM; and low latency messaging is required. As the Java Developer you will be responsible for enhancements to the platform in an Agile environment and Java development of the quoting system, this will involve connectivity to external markets, real time, and multi-threaded code. You as the Java Developerwill be expected to adhere to low-latency and concise development which will include low latency messaging as a nice to have. As the Java Developer there will also be an expectation of level 3 support for global implementations. You as the Java Developer will need to have sound knowledge or working experience of n-tier architectures, service oriented and distributed architectures. As the Java Developer you would also need knowledge or experience with Java multi-threading and concurrencypackages, REST/SOAP, Java message services, Unit testing, microservices, and JVM tuning. As the Java Developer it would be beneficial to have understanding or knowledge of streaming, near catching, low/zero GC programming, load balancing, sharding. Requirements: * Min of 5-8 years of experience as a Java Developer within e-trading in fixed income/banking/financial services. * Working knowledge or experience in the following: o Java, Java multi-threading and concurrency packages, Java message services, JVM. o REST/SOAP. o N-tier architectures, service oriented and distributed architectures. o Low latency messaging, Unit Testing, Microservices. Beneficial: * Working knowledge or experience with: o Streaming, near catching, low/zero GC programming, load balancing, sharding. Note. The level is slightly flexible so if youre slightly less or more experienced as a Java Developer please do reach out. Salary - up to £100 000 OR £650/day + pension, health, and life, 25 days leave, etc. Location - London - Hybrid, negotiable (2-3 days/week in office).
