As a Japanese Expatriate Tax Manager you will work an exciting mix of clients across all sectors and company / assignee population sizes and be a key member of this friendly and close knit team.Client DetailsA well known and respected Global Consulting firm with offices in 155 countries around the world. An outstanding opportunity for a Japanese Expatriate tax Manager.DescriptionRole and Responsibilities:Manage the day to day UK inbound and outbound assignee work, lead and coach the junior team (AMs and Consultants) on allocated clients. Responsibility for managing the UK tax compliance cycle and working closely with the Compliance function that manages the tax return process.Project management of advisory projects carried out for clients.Take care of cross border advisory, covering tax, social security, policies etcBuild, maintain and lead strong relationships with the clients. Ensuring clients are provided with up to date information on UK tax developmentsGet involved in business development/proposalsCarry out arrival/departure briefings for senior assigneesProfileExperience and Background:Understanding of Japanese professional practices and business customsExcellent written and spoken English as well as Japanese (equivalent to JLPT N1)Previous experience working in expatriate tax servicesHigh level personal responsibility and accountability for teamworkAbility to identify core issues, investigates, evaluates and integrates informationCommunicates with impact, both in speech and writing, and in a way that is open, honest, consistent and clearMotivated by a passion for the international aspects of our work, professional proficiency and a desire to serve and lead excellent UK teamCapable of working to deadlines, showing resilience under pressure and an ability to apply knowledge to non-routine situationsDemonstrates sound professional judgement including the ability to identify issues/concerns and consult where appropriate with more senior staffJob OfferA competitive salary of £55,000 - £68,000 + Bonus + Car + Benefits
